I brought Kalpen Modi (aka Kal Penn) to campus this past Spring 2008 to teach a class on "Images of Asian Americans in the Media," (ASAM 109), and it's crosslisted with Cinema Studies and Sociology (CINE 109 and SOCI 109 respectively).  He brought to campus a number of his colleagues from the TV, Film, and Media Industry.

Margaret Cho came to Penn on Sunday, February 10, 2008 for a Q&A Panel (along with Kalpen Modi and Heather Love) and gave a guest lecture in his class on Monday, February 11, 2008.
